Dear Members & Racers,

As part of the changes needed to get the sport back up and running, the team at Alpha (the system you use to book into race meetings and in the future Practice days) and ourselves have been working hard on a large upgrade to make race days almost paper free.

These include online signing-on pre event – soon to launch online scrutineering cards and declarations and the potential to host drivers briefings online, a change from licence numbers to email address log ons, this is why we email you today.

In the next couple weeks we expect to be going live on Alpha for entering normal practice days and our next Race Meeting, all of which will be first come first serve with caps on numbers due to COVID-19 restrictions.

To ensure your profile is set up correctly please visit https://wskc.alphatiming.co.uk/register/series

For members without a licence there is now an option for them to mark their licence number as “do not know”
You can now login to all Alpha clubs using the same email and password
You can now have multiple drivers under one login (useful for parents with multiple children racing)
When we roll out digital scrutineering they will be able to log all of their karting equipment in a virtual “garage” which they can then enter into events just by tapping their equipment.
You can buy class entries and event entries all at the same time instead of having to do one at a time.

The downside to this transition is that some of you might get confused when you now see the new login screen. The new login screen no longer asks for your MSA licence number. Instead it asks for the their email and password. We have been asked by Alpha to communicate to you the following:
We have transitioned your MSA logins to an email & password login
If they have used an email & password login before at other Alpha clubs (such as the British Karting Championship) then please continue to use that.
If they haven’t used an Alpha email & password login before, please ask them to enter their email address which they have in your database, ignore the password and submit the form. By doing so the system will send the driver a reset password link which they need to click on in order to set their password.
We ask you to set up your accounts now to avoid disappointment when we go live with practice and Race events as demand will be high – forgotten the email linked to your licence? Email membership@wskc.co.uk with your licence number and driver name and we will send you the email address on your account – Please do not call as we expect there to be a large amount of requests and we will work through these in order of when they are received – don’t leave it to last minute!! Go on and get set up today – this will be your log in for all clubs using the Alpha system going forward.

Kind regards,

The Team @ WSKC
